President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has signed a law declaring an all-out ban on import, sale, and smoking of e-cigarettes in the country, starting July 1st, 2025.
The punishment for violatng the law is stated as follows:
- For smoking – a fine of 10 thousand soms for individuals, 60 thousand soms for legal entities;
- For sale – a fine of 20 thousand soms for individuals, 65 thousand soms for legal entities;
- For illegal importation – a fine of 100-120 thousand soms or correctional labor;
- For importation in large or especially large amounts – a fine of 150-200 thousand soms or 1-2 years of imprisonment.
